LANCASTER — First Church of God was the setting for the ceremony uniting Courtney Lyn Derr and Christopher S. Bird in marriage. Pastor Don Price performed the service at 4 p.m. Sept. 29, 2007.
The bride is the daughter of Jose and Sherri Derr, of Mifflinville. The bridegroom is the son of Tom Bird, of Northumberland, and Kerry Moser, of Selinsgrove.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white formal gown of English net and silk satin, accented with pearls, crystals, pearl buttons, and a chapel-length train. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of Red Freedom and Charlotte roses.
Maid of honor was Marissa Edelman, of Lancaster. Bridesmaids were Amanda Marcinkowski, of Brook Park, Ohio; Rhonda Colvin, of Montgomery, Ala.; and Lauren Kelley, of Chicago, The flower girl was Synclaire Angelow, of Mount Holly, N.J., cousin of the bride.
Best man for his brother was Timothy Bird, of Northumberland. Groomsmen were Donald Rank, of Sunbury; Donald Delosier, of Northumberland; and Brian Bettleyon, of Middletown. The ring bearer was Christopher Bird Jr., of Selinsgrove, son of the bridegroom.
A reception was held at The Courtyard, Eden Resort Inn, Lancaster. After a seven-day wedding trip in San Souci, Jamaica, the couple are living in Lancaster. They are also both employed in Lancaster.
