ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Christopher Edwards and Kristin Kern were married Dec. 31, 2012, in a candlelight New Year’s Eve ceremony .
The bride is the daughter of William and Donna Kern, of Selinsgrove. The bridegroom is the son of Thomas and Marian Edwards, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
The bride’s sister, Lindsey Koek, of Jacksonville, Fla., served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Aja Pyers, of Maple Shade, N.J., Alison Sands, of Parkville, Md., Kristina Laszczak, of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and Megan Petersen, of Norfolk, Va.
Serving as best man for his brother was Bruce Edwards, of Ponte Vedra Beach, along with groomsmen Chris Koek, of Jacksonville, J. Henry Edwards, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Joseph Gardner, of Lewisburg, Pa., and Marcus Edwards, of Newport, R.I.
An intimate reception was held at the White Room Grand Ballrooom. A formal sit-down dinner was followed by dancing to music provided by the nine-piece River Town Band. The evening concluded with a midnight champagne toast.
The bride is a graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School, the Pennsylvania State University, and The University of Saint Augustine with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She works in orthopaedic rehabilitation.
The bridegroom is a graduate of The Forman School and attended Curry College, where he majored in communications. He now serves as the vice president of Fulcrum Trading Inc.
Following a honeymoon to Charleston, S.C., the couple is living in Ponte Vedra Beach.
