KRATZERVILLE — Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church was the setting for the ceremony uniting Samantha Lynn Gilbert and Kenneth Lee Hoover in marriage. The Rev. Breen Marie Sipes performed the service at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 11, 2012.
The bride is the daughter of Terry and Bonnie Gilbert, of Middleburg. The bridegroom is the son of Elias and Edna Hoover, of Port Trevorton.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose Bridget Middleswarth as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Melanie Kerstetter, Beth Keller, and Susan Heckman. Flower girls were Alaina Crider, Reanna Hoover, Gracie Crider, Morgan Hoover, and Kayla Horst, all nieces of the bridegroom.
Serving as best man for his brother was Jay Hoover. Groomsmen were Jeff Hoover, brother of the bridegroom, Nick Gilbert and Ben Ritter. Ring bearers were Samuel Horst and Troy Hoover, nephews of the bridegroom.
A reception for 200 guests was held at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club, Hummels Wharf.
The bride is a graduate of Midd-West High School and Thomas Jefferson University with a registered nurse degree. She is a special care unit RN in Danville.
Her husband is a self-employed roofer and owner/operator of Weatherproof Roofing, Port Trevorton.
Following a honeymoon to Yellowstone National Park, the couple is living in Middleburg.
