LEWISBURG — La Primavera banquet room was the setting for the ceremony uniting Yongyi “Sarah” Hou and David B. Daku in marriage. Pastor Mark Gittens performed the service at 3 p.m. Feb. 2, 2013.
Matron of honor was Jennifer Straub. Flower girls were Eden Treas and Laci Barnhart.
Serving as best man for his brother was Scot Daku.
A reception for 70 guests followed.
The bride is a graduate of Xindu High School, Chengdu, China, and Nankai University, Tianjin, China. She received a bachelor of arts degree in Chinese language literature from Nankai University, a master of arts degree in educational management from Centro Escolar University, Manila, Republic of the Philippines, and a master of arts degree in christian studies from Logos Evangelical Seminary, Los Angeles, Calif. She is an educator and artist. The bridegroom is a graduate of Conemaugh Valley Area High School, Johnstown and Washington Bible College, Washington, D.C. He received a bachelor of arts degree in biblical education, and a master of arts degree in religious education from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. He is a christian counselor at Christian Counseling Services of Central PA, Inc., Northumberland, of which he is founder and president.
Following a honeymoon to Orlando, Fla., the couple is living in Northumberland.
