— DEFIANCE, Mo. — The Yellow Farmhouse Winery in Defiance, was the setting for the Oct. 12, 2103, ceremony uniting Janell Marie Kiersnowski, DVM, and William Ben Embry II, DVM, in marriage. The ceremony was officiated by William Ben Embry, DVM, father of the bridegroom.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kevin Kiersnowski, of Coal Township, Pa., and the granddaughter of Thomas Lamey, of Coal Township, and the late Rose Sherupski Lamey. The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. William Ben Embry, of Malden, Mo., and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hendry, of Mich., and Judy Bennett, of Lamar, Mo.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Taryn Vanaskie, of Albany, N.Y., as maid of honor. Bridesmen were Kevin Kiersnowski, of Philadelphia, Pa., and Sean Kiersnowski, of Newark, Del., brothers of the bride. Flower girl was Mikalyn Vipperman, niece, of Malden.

William Ben Embry III, son of the bridegroom, and James “Red” Elliot, served as best men. Groomswomen included the bridegroom’s sisters, Dr. Julia Embry Schubert, of Denver, Colo., and Rebecca Vipperman, of Malden. Ring bearers were nephews Maverick Vipperman, of Malden, and Jackson Schubert, of Denver, Colo. They were escorted by Gysell Larson, of Newark, Del. Ushers were Erik and Gabriel Larson, future nephews, of Newark.

Music for the ceremony was provided by ukueleist Dr. Michelle Scott, of Carlee, Ill. Wedding coordinator was Joy Knutilla, of Lofty Events, St. Louis, Mo.

A reception followed at the winery.

On the eve of the wedding, the couple hosted a cookout style rehearsal dinner at the Grapevine Vacation Rentals, Defiance.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School, a 2003 graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and a 2007 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She is a veterinarian at the Malden Veterinary Clinic.

The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Malden High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine. He is the owner of the Kenmo Veterinary clinic.

Following a honey to the St. Regis in Bora Bora, the couple is living in Malden.
