PORTLAND, Ore. — The Oaks Pioneer Church, in Portland, a small historic building along the Willamette River, was the setting for the ceremony uniting Sarah Elizabeth Crook and Hunter Richard Biernstein in marriage. Glenn Crook, father of the bride, performed the service on Nov. 30, 2013.
The bride is the daughter of Glenn and Nancy Crook, of Beaverton, Ore., formerly of Lewisburg, Pa. The bridegroom is the son of Tedd and Sharon Biernstein, of Milton, Pa.
The ceremony was attended by immediate family including Sunni Biernstein, sister of the bridegroom, and Nathanial and Christy Crook, brother of the bride. Eliana Crook, niece of the bride, was flower girl.
Music was provided by a local violinist.
A dinner celebration was held at Pazzos Restaurant in downtown Portland.
The bride is a manager at a local cafe.
The bridegroom is employed by Moore Excavating.
The couple is living in Beaverton.
