McCLURE — Trinity Lutheran Church was the setting for the ceremony uniting Amanda Gilbert and Matthew Wright in marriage. Pastor Lisa Schuster performed the double-ring ceremony at 2 p.m. Dec. 1, 2012.
The bride is the daughter of Calvin and Jan Gilbert, of McClure. The bridegroom is the son of Scott and Denise Wright, of McClure.
Maid of honor was Megan Brouse. Matrons of honor were Arla Snook and Alicia Viafore, sisters of the bride, and Jessica Cummings, sister of the bridegroom. Junior bridesmaid was Chloe Freed, niece of the bridegroom, and flower girl was Emily Snyder, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Joseph Shawver. Groomsmen were Nicholas Shawver, Caleb Gilbert, brother of the bride, and Chester Cummings, brother-in-law of the bridegroom. Ring bearer was Blayze Cummings, nephew of the bridegroom.
Music was provided by Heidy Oldt, organist and Donna Starliper, great aunt of the bridegroom, soloist.
The bride wore a white strapless Eden gown made of Royal Duchess Satin that was hand draped and asymmetrically accented with embroidery, beading, and hand-made chiffon flowers. A full gathered skirt with pickups and beading flowed from the low dropped waistline.
A winter wonderland reception was held at The American Legion, McClure.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Midd-West High School and 2010 graduate of Shippensburg University with a bachelor of science in business administration in accounting. She is an accountant at H.C. Kerstetter Company in Lewistown.
The bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Midd-West High School and 2010 graduate of Shippensburg University with a bachelor’s degree in geo-environmental science. He is playing in the minor leagues for the Toronto Blue Jays.
Following a honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple is living in McClure.
