COAL TOWNSHIP — The backyard of the couple was the setting of the surprise wedding uniting Ashley Danielle Debo and Peter Nicholas Spadotto in marriage. Mayor David Persing performed the service on Aug. 31, 2013. At the conclusion of the marriage ceremony, the bride’s parents were surprised with a vow renewal ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Scott and Diane Debo, of Sunbury. The bridegroom is the son of Nina Spadotto, of Danville, and the late Romeo Spadotto.
The bride was honored to wear all three of her grandmother’s wedding bands. Her veil that was hand beaded and designed by her husband. She walked down the aisle to Forever, by Drop Kick Murphys.
Maid of honor was Lyndsay Debo, of Sunbury, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amanda Bauman, of Sunbury, Amy Hoffman, of Ranshaw, and Carolina Russo-Holding, Flower girl was Payton Ulp, of Northumberland.
Serving as best man was Scott Debo, father of the bride. Groomsman was Michael Mirabile, nephew of the bridegroom. Best dogs were Rowdy Roger Debo-Spadotto and Ranger King Henrik Spadotto.
Music was provided by Rockin’ Ike Sound and Light sound system.
A pig roast reception for 130 guests followed.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Shikellamy High School and a 2009 graduate of Central Pennsylvania College with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration. She is a case worker with Northumberland County Children and Youth Services, Sunbury.
The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of St. Joseph by the Sea High School, Staten Island, N.Y., and a 2002 graduate of St. John’s University, Staten Island, with a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications. He is employed by Geisinger Health Systems, Bloomsburg.
Following a honeymoon to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the couple is living in Coal Township.
