STATE COLLEGE — At 1:45 p.m. on a snowy March 16, 2013, afternoon in State College, James and Sandy Sanders, of Millmont, rejoiced at the marriage of their son, Jeffrey A. Sanders to Corrie L. Clark, daughter of Hobey and Kathy Clark, of Malvern. Their marriage was officiated by Pastor Bruce Eveleth.
As a retired Marine, Jeff was able to successfully surprise his new bride by wearing his Marine Corps dress blues. Jeff was accompanied by his brother, Matt Sanders, as his best man, along with cousin, Nate Sanders, and friends Steve Wenner and Les Burkholder as groomsmen.
Corrie was accompanied by matrons of honor Rachel Appleby and Stacie Sloan along with Annie Sequeira and Samantha Flynn as bridesmaids.
There were approximately 150 friends and family that braved the rough driving conditions to attend their wedding.
The newly married couple left for Myrtle Beach, S.C., for their honeymoon the next day.
They are living in Lincoln University, about an hour west of Philadelphia.
The bride, a Southern Methodist University graduate and highly decorated swimmer, is working for Speedo as a sports marketing representative.
The bridegroom, who attended Pennsylvania State University after medically retiring from the Marine Corps, has continued working at the local YMCA after the couple relocated from State College.
