LEWISBURG — Jennifer Lynn Buck and William Butler Guffey III were united in marriage at 2 p.m. July 20, 2013, at the historic Campus Theatre. Officiating the double ring ceremony was the Rev. Pamela Maloney.
The bride is the daughter of Neil “ Rick” and Tracy Buck, of Watsontown. The bridegroom is the son of Barbara B. Guffey, of Pittsburgh.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an Allure ivory organza gown with fitted strapless sweetheart bodice that is ruched asymmetrically and is accented with a Swarovski crystal brooch, sash and a chapel train and was complemented by a two tier elbow length Vera Wang veil embellished with both pearl and crystals accented by a silver headband adorned with Swarovski crystals and pearl flowers. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of black calla lilies with crystal accents.
Nicole Buck, of Watsontown, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Megan Linton and Alicia Heymann, of Pittsburgh. The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore cocktail-length gowns in black satin. Each carried a hand-tied bouquet of black calla lilies.
Alan McDonough, of Pittsburgh, served as best man. Groomsmen included Ted Haynes and Shaun Hall, of Pittsburgh. It was discovered that the bridegroom and his groomsmen were all “Justice League Heroes” as they later revealed at the reception.
Music for the ceremony was provided by the Valley String Quartet. The bride’s parents hosted a seated dinner and reception at the Watson Inn in Watsontown. On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom’s mother hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Lewisburg Hotel.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Warrior Run High School and a graduate of Bloomsburg University with a bachelor of arts degree in mass communications, and Chatham University with a master of fine arts degree in film and digital technology. She is employed at Blue Archer Design, Pittsburgh, as a project manager and designer.
The bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of Shaler Area High School and a graduate of Point Park University, Pittsburgh, with a bachelor of fine arts degree in acting. He is employed by Act One Theatre School in Pittsburgh as an improvisation and acting instructor.
Following a honeymoon at the Summer Bay Resort in Florida, the couple is living in Pittsburgh.
