Gallagher's grand slam powers Danville

DALMATIA -- Corey Gallagher hit a grand slam in the first inning and Dan Winnie homered in the second to lift Danville to an 12-0 victory at Line Mountain in a Susquehanna Valley American Legion League game on Sunday afternoon.
Danville, now 6-4, scored six times in the first inning and added four more in the fifth to end the game early. Gallagher's grand slam started if off for Post 40 and Winnie hit a two-run shot to keep things going in the second.
Following a strong outing against Jersey Shore earlier in the week, Todd Moser fired a two-hit shutout for Danville.
Danny Adams had his first hit of the season for Line Mountain (2-7).
Sunbury/Northumberland 3, Hughesville 2
HUGHESVILLE -- Zac Deibler scored the go-ahead run on an ground ball by Kevin Herring in the top of the fifth inning, lifting Sunbury/Northumberland to a five-inning SVALL crossover victory.
The game was stopped after five innings due to rain. The game was tied at 2-2 before Deilber scored in the top of the fifth.
Sunbury/Norry (6-3) scored twice in the first inning, including an RBI double from Deibler. Vince Yeager and Darren Adams combined on a four-hitter.
Hughesville is 4-4.
