Armstrong stops 22 shots in setback to Selinsgrove

By The Danville News

SELINSGROVE -- Katie Armstrong did all she could, but Selinsgrove's first-half barrage was just too much.

Selinsgrove scored all four of its goals in the opening 30 minutes of action to take a 4-0 victory over Danville in a Heartland Athletic Conference Division I matchup Thursday.

The four goals came from four different scorers for Selinsgrove (15-0, 11-0 HAC-I). Hope Burke, Danica Deckard, Mallory Pope and Ashtin Klingler scored the goals.

Ariana White added two assists for the Seals and Paige Bordner had one.

Selinsgrove out-shot Danville (3-10, 2-8) 26-1 in the game and had 12 penalty corners to one for the Ironmen.

Armstrong finished with 22 saves to lead Danville defensively.
