PORT ROYAL -- Port Royal Speedway will honor "The Man from Mifflintown," Keith Kauffman, on Saturday as the track's all-time winningest sprint car driver is retiring at season's end.

The 410 sprint cars will race a 33-lap feature, honoring one of Kauffman's most memorable early-career rides, the K33. The feature pays $5,000 to win.

Kauffman won a pair of late model races in his career at the speedway and the late model feature will go 21 laps and pay $2,000 to win. Kauffman's car number when he won his late model features was 21.

Time trials will set the heat and feature lineups for both the events. The late models will time trial using a group format.

Kauffman, along with special guests, including Kenny Jacobs, will sign autographs behind the grandstand on Saturday from 5:15-5:45 p.m.

Kauffman will be honored during intermission for his racing accomplishments.

The Clyde's Gulf No. 2, Kauffman's very first race car, will be on display throughout the night for the special farewell event.

All fans are asked to attend the event in a Keith Kauffman racing shirt or jacket. Prizes will be given for those who are wearing what can be determined as the oldest Kauffman apparel.

BACK ON TOP: Pat Cannon, of Etters, is back atop the 358 sprint car point standings at Selinsgrove Speedway following his seventh win of the season last week. His lead over Jason Shultz, of Carlisle, is 25 points. Cannon won last year's title and is tied with Selinsgrove's Blane Heimbach and Harrisburg's Chad Layton as the only drivers in the track's history to win three 358 sprint car titles. A regular four-division show is slated for Saturday.

DR. PHIL: A meet and greet with sprint car driver Phil Walter will take place from 1-4 on Saturday at the Selinsgrove Hotel. Joining Walter will be the "Vegas Fuel Girls" for photo opportunities.
