SELINSGROVE -- Under the bright lights of Susquehanna University's Sassafrass Fields, Casey Briggs shined with a pair of first-half goals to lead Selinsgrove to a 3-0 win over Shikellamy on Senior Night.
Jenna Fisher added an unassisted goal early in the second half Wednesday to seal the win for Selinsgrove (14-2, 10-2 HAC-I), which is nearing a possible division title and No. 1 seed for the District 4 Class AA playoffs.
"It was a nice win on senior night, and we got two more (games) left in the league," said Selinsgrove coach Matt Metzger.

TURBOTVILLE -- Beginning with a goal from Taylor Landis just 1:02 into the game, the Defenders scored all three of their goals in the first half to take the HAC-II win.
Landis scored twice in the game, with her second tally coming 8:55 into the contest, and Sarah Haluck added a goal for Warrior Run (14-0, 12-0 HAC-II).
"We did a good job scoring early. We play at Danville (today) at 7 p.m. It should be a really good game," said Warrior Run coach Jen Allen.

DANVILLE -- Kiersten Zerbe's goal 7:57 into the first half was all that the Ironmen needed as they cruised to the HAC-I win.
Zerbe added a second-half goal for Danville (9-3-1, 8-2-1 HAC-I), which also got two goals from Shelby Freedman and a goal and assist from Siobhan Bross.
n Mifflinburg 5, Shamokin 1
COAL TOWNSHIP -- Rachel Bingaman and Paige Clawser combined to score all five of the Wildcats' goals to give them the HAC-II victory.
Bingaman had four goals, while Clawser scored the other goal and had three assists for Mifflinburg (5-11, 4-8 HAC-II).
"We showed up tonight and played well together. We had some confidence in ourselves and (the game) was fun to watch," said Mifflinburg Tedd Keister.
