SELINSGROVE -- Under the bright lights of Susquehanna University's Sassafrass Fields, Casey Briggs shined with a pair of first-half goals to lead Selinsgrove to a 3-0 win over Shikellamy on Senior Night.

Jenna Fisher added an unassisted goal early in the second half Wednesday to seal the win for Selinsgrove (14-2, 10-2 HAC-I), which is nearing a possible division title and No. 1 seed for the District 4 Class AA playoffs.

"It was a nice win on senior night, and we got two more (games) left in the league," said Selinsgrove coach Matt Metzger.

n Warrior Run 3, Jersey Shore 0

TURBOTVILLE -- Beginning with a goal from Taylor Landis just 1:02 into the game, the Defenders scored all three of their goals in the first half to take the HAC-II win.

Landis scored twice in the game, with her second tally coming 8:55 into the contest, and Sarah Haluck added a goal for Warrior Run (14-0, 12-0 HAC-II).

"We did a good job scoring early. We play at Danville (today) at 7 p.m. It should be a really good game," said Warrior Run coach Jen Allen.

n Danville 6, Williamsport 0

DANVILLE -- Kiersten Zerbe's goal 7:57 into the first half was all that the Ironmen needed as they cruised to the HAC-I win.

Zerbe added a second-half goal for Danville (9-3-1, 8-2-1 HAC-I), which also got two goals from Shelby Freedman and a goal and assist from Siobhan Bross.

n Mifflinburg 5, Shamokin 1

COAL TOWNSHIP -- Rachel Bingaman and Paige Clawser combined to score all five of the Wildcats' goals to give them the HAC-II victory.

Bingaman had four goals, while Clawser scored the other goal and had three assists for Mifflinburg (5-11, 4-8 HAC-II).

"We showed up tonight and played well together. We had some confidence in ourselves and (the game) was fun to watch," said Mifflinburg Tedd Keister.

n Southern Columbia 6,

Mount Carmel 1

MOUNT CARMEL -- Two goals and two assists from Bailey Bzdak, plus two goals and an assist from Mackenzie Haladay helped lift the Tigers to the HAC-II win. Mackenzie Clark added a goal and two assists for Southern (10-4, 7-3 HAC-II).

n Montoursville 5, Milton 0

MILTON -- Taylor Eshbach had a hat trick for the Warriors in the HAC-I win over the Black Panthers.

n Lourdes Regional 5, Nativity 3

COAL TOWNSHIP -- Bailey Trell recorded a hat trick and Rachel Schultz scored twice to lead the Red Raiders to the Schuylkill League win.

BOYS SOCCER

n Selinsgrove 13, Shikellamy 0

SELINSGROVE -- David Aurand, Kaelan Sullivan and Dustin Moyer all got their goals on senior night, but so did the younger players as the Seals routed the Braves in a HAC-I matchup played at Susquehanna University.

Aurand had a hat trick for Selinsgrove (13-1, 10-1 HAC-I), while Sullivan scored twice and had two assists and Moyer had two goals.

In the second half, sophomores Derek Menges, Manny Little and Brandon Dunkle all got in on the scoring for the Seals.

n Greenwood 5, Halifax 1

MILLERSTOWN -- Josh Ferguson scored all five of Greenwood's goals to fuel the Tri-Valley League victory.

FIELD HOCKEY

n Benton 2, Warrior Run 1

TURBOTVILLE -- Blyss Bieber scored in the second half for the Defenders, but it wasn't enough as the Tigers held on for the HAC-II win.
