High school roundup: Mifflinburg boys rally past Selinsgrove

TURBOTVILLE -- The Defenders broke open a game that was tied at the half by out-scoring the Warriors 32-19 in the second half to take the HAC-II matchup.

Lance Pealer led Warrior Run (2-2, 1-1 HAC-II) with 13 points.

n East Juniata 91,

Juniata 56

COCOLAMUS -- Behind a career night from Nick Lorenz, the Tigers put together a game for the ages by routing the Indians in the Tri-Valley League matchup.

Lorenz tied his career high with 33 points. He also had 10 assists for East Juniata (5-0, 3-0 TVL).

Four players were in double figures for the Tigers as the team put up what is possibly the most points the program has ever scored in a game. It's at least the most points scored under coach Brock Anders in his six-year tenure at the school.

n Halifax 77,

Upper Dauphin 70

HALIFAX -- Kobe Bowman scored 14 of his team-high 29 points in the first quarter as the Wildcats opened up a big lead before holding on for the TVL win.

Mack Ney led Upper Dauphin with 30 points, 15 of which were scored in the fourth quarter. Alex Uhler added 16 points for the Trojans.

n Greenwood 43,

Lancaster Co. Day 21

MILLERSTOWN -- After a low-scoring first half, the Wildcats picked up their offensive production in the second half in addition to the TVL win.

Adam Harrison had 16 points and Tyler Fegley scored 11 to lead Greenwood (4-2, 3-1 TVL).

n Meadowbrook Chr. 73,

New Covenant 45

MILTON -- Tyler Baughman tallied 26 points and Kurtis Klodnicki added 14 to lead the Lions to the ACAA victory. David Ulmer gave Meadowbrook (3-2, 3-1 ACAA) a third player in double figures with his 12 points.


n Warrior Run 34,

Montoursville 24

MONTOURSVILLE -- Thirteen points from Steph Shamburg proved to be the difference in the game as the Defenders took the HAC-II victory. Warrior Run improves to 5-0, 2-0 in league play.

n Lourdes Regional 52,

Tri-Valley 38

COAL TOWNSHIP -- A double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds by Rachel Schultz lifted the Red Raiders to the Schuylkill League win.

Schultz also had five steals in the win for Lourdes (3-3 overall), while Carmella Bickel chipped in 16 points and four assists.

n Greenwood 53,

Lancaster Country Day 14

MILLERSTOWN -- Hattie Kuhns and Morgan Kauffman scored 11 points apiece to lead the Wildcats to the Tri-Valley League victory.
