DANVILLE -- For 12 years now, fans at Danville High School have become accustomed to seeing Lenny Smith pace the hardwood inside the Whitey McCloskey Center.

And with that, the fans are accustomed to seeing Smith put up winning season after winning season.

While Smith has won plenty of exciting games so far in his career -- from regular-season thrillers and league titles to District 4 championships and state playoff games -- perhaps Friday's 73-55 win over HAC-I rival Milton will be one of his more memorable ones.

When Friday's game ended, the PA announcer revealed that the victory marked Smith's 200th career win.

A nice accomplishment for a coach who has yet to experience a losing season.

"(It's) pretty nice considering I think there was a four-game losing streak right before that going back to last year, so it was good to get that out of the way. (The) cake was a little stale since it was from last year," Smith said with laugh and a smile.

Smith entered the year with 199 wins, and it was all but certain he'd get the milestone within the first few games of the 2013 season. It took only two games to reach it.

Smith has led Danville to seven District 4 championship games in the past 11 seasons and has captured the title three times, the most recent being during the 2011-12 season, when the Ironmen defeated Shikellamy.
