DANVILLE -- A 30-point third quarter extended the Danville boys basketball team's lead from just three to 21 points as the Ironmen cruised to a 72-51 Heartland cross-over win over Southern Columbia on Monday.
Zack Kozick scored 20 points while Phil Stemm and Shayne Riley scored 11 points apiece to lead Danville (4-2), which managed to win by a large margin despite Austin Renz and Stemm fouling out.
Mike Klebon led Southern (3-4) with 10 points.
St. John Neumann 70,
WILLIAMSPORT -- In a non-league matchup between two teams heading in different directions, the Golden Knights tallied 33 points in the first half to run away for the victory.
Alize Johnson scored 28 points to lead St. John Neumann (6-0).
"Johnson is the real deal. We held him to 28 points, but he's a heck of a player," said Selinsgrove coach Mike Stebila.
Ethan Fadale paced Selinsgrove (0-6) with 10 points.
Miffin County 66,
SUNBURY -- Mifflin County forged a 10-point advantage in the second quarter to pull away from Shikellamy in a nonleague game.
Austin Mowery led the Braves with 15 points, all on 3-pointers, while Derek Amerman and C.J. Tyler added 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Sunbury Christian 27
COAL TOWNSHIP -- Kenny Pawelizyk and Jordan Fobia scored 14 points apiece to lead the Red Raiders to the non-league win over the Eagles.
Fobia added eight rebounds, three assists and three steals for Lourdes (5-3), which also got seven points, six steals, four rebounds and three assists from Luke Holloran.
Northumberland Chr. 52
BLOOMSBURG -- Thirty-four points from Justin Zimmalin propelled the Rams to the non-league victory.
Gabe Bahner and Nathan York scored 17 and 16 points, respectively, for Northumberland Christian (1-7). York also pulled down 15 rebounds for the Warriors.
South Williamsport 40
SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT -- A game-high 17 points from Brooke Swartz helped lift the Black Panthers to the HAC cross-over win. Dani Lincoln and Maggie Wetzel added nine points apiece in the win for Milton (5-3).
