MILL HALL — The Seals didn’t have an answer for Cole Renninger, who scored 36 points to lead the Wildcats to the non-league victory.
Renninger scored 29 of those points in the second and third quarters as Central Mountain (2-3) blew a close game wide open.
“(Renninger) just took over the game. He penetrated well and he had the hot hand all the way through,” said Selinsgrove coach Ray Moyer.
Bobby Lamont scored 10 points and Dillon Hoke chipped in nine for Selinsgrove (2-2).
Lourdes Regional 47, Schuylkill Haven 34
COAL TOWNSHIP — The Red Raiders outscored the Hurricanes 34-12 in the first half to take the Schuylkill League win.
Anthony Pennypacker scored 16 points and had five assists and four steals for Lourdes (5-1 overall).
Line Mountain 60, Millersburg 55
MILLERSBURG — Cole Rickert totaled 14 points, nine rebounds, nine assists and four steals to lead the Eagles to the Tri-Valley League win.
Bill Breinich also had 14 points and Codi Morris chipped in nine points for Line Mountain (4-3, 2-1 TVL).
Great Commission 49, Northumberland Chr. 33
NORTHUMBERLAND — The game was tied at the half, but the Warriors fell behind in the third quarter and they couldn’t recover as they lost the non-league contest.
Daniel Severn had eight points and 10 rebounds for Northumberland Christian (4-8).
Newport 38, Greenwood 30
MILLERSTOWN — The Wildcats couldn’t take advantage of a low-scoring fourth quarter by the Buffaloes and fell in the Tri-Valley League matchup.
Mallory Fortenbaugh scored 12 points to lead Greenwood (0-6, 0-4 TVL), which held Newport to a single point in the final period.
Northumberland Chr. 40, Great Commission 33
NORTHUMBERLAND — A game-high 30 points and 11 steals from Alyssa Wesner lifted the Warriors to the non-league win. Northumberland Christian improves to 6-4.
