High school roundup: Danville boys even tennis mark

MILTON -- After a slow start to the season, Danville got back to the .500 mark with Wednesday's 3-2 Heartland-I victory over Milton.

Milton (0-5) opened the match by winning at Nos. 1 and 2 singles. Alandean Elsayed won 6-1, 6-0 over Chris Zhang at No. 1, while Meet Mehta beat David Gilliam, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 2.

Aidan Kennedy won at No. 3 for Danville (2-2) before the Ironmen's doubles teams followed to clinch the match.

Bryson Copenhaver and Jon Hauck won 4-6, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, before the No. 2 team of Tristan Scott and Josh Mazak dropped only three games to seal the deal.


The following events scheduled for Wednesday were postponed due to inclement weather. Make-up dates are provided when available.
