Back-to-back-to-back doubles in the third inning by Midd-West led to three runs and a season-ending 4-2 victory over Danville in Heartland-I action Monday.
Eli Stem, Shane Connahan and Luke Zimmerman hit those doubles in the third for Midd-West (13-6, 8-6 HAC-I). Connahan and Zimmerman both drove in runs with their two-baggers.
Two innings later Aaron Sharp worked out of a bases-loaded jam with no outs after the 7-9 batters reached. Sharp would get the 1-3 batters out in order to end the threat.
LEWISBURG — The Green Dragons scored four runs in the sixth to edge the Seals for the HAC cross-over win.
Jamison Bond and Jacob Girton both had two-RBI hits for Lewisburg (6-14).
MONTOURSVILLE — The Warriors scored twice in the fourth inning, and those runs were just enough to take the HAC-I victory.

TURBOTVILLE — The Defenders were held hitless as they fell in the HAC-II matchup. Warrior Run is 4-14 overall.

COCOLAMUS — The Tigers scored three runs in the fifth inning on two errors, two walks and a wild pitch to take the nonleague win.
Nick Stahr and Dalton Rowe had two hits apiece to lead East Juniata (12-4) at the plate.

ELIZABETHVILLE — An unassisted double play made by the Vikings in the seventh inning cut short the Trojans’ comeback attempt in the Tri-Valley League matchup.
Upper Dauphin (16-3, 14-1 TVL) trailed 11-7 entering the seventh. The Trojans scored twice in the inning, but they left the bases loaded when Williams Valley’s second baseman caught a line drive and stepped on second base for the unassisted double play.

MANDATA — Cory Warford and Kellan Masser combined to throw a three-hitter for the Eagles and shutout the Buffaloes for the TVL win. Line Mountain improves to 12-3, 10-2 in league play.
