DANVILLE -- Holding onto just a one-goal lead at the half, Danville's Gage Reber drove home a penalty kick with nine minutes left in the game to clinch the Ironmen's 2-0 victory over Mifflinburg in Heartland-I action Thursday.
David Burke scored unassisted 19 minutes into the game for Danville (4-1 overall), which got three saves and a shutout from Jon Hauck.
Ben Greb made 10 saves to lead Mifflinburg (4-4) on the day.

WILLIAMSPORT -- Thanks to a goal by Seth Burk early in the second half, the Braves took the HAC-I contest to remain undefeated on the season.
Burk scored off a Dylan Snyder assist 3:47 into the second half to give Shikellamy (6-0, 4-0 HAC-I) the only got it needed. Justin Engle made three saves to get the shutout for the Braves.
"We held the possession for the majority of the night, and our defense held up as exceptionally as always," said Shikellamy coach Jon Steese.

MILTON -- Tyler Arbogast scored a pair of second-half goals to help the Mustangs hold off the Black Panthers for the HAC-I victory.
Trevor Stuck and Tanner Ebright tallied the other two goals for Midd-West (5-3, 3-2 HAC-I).
Ethan Baker and Tony Barrenchea scored for Milton (3-4 overall), with an assist coming from Chase Geiger.

SELINSGROVE -- Lewisburg extended its streak to six shutouts as the Green Dragons remained undefeated by defeating the Seals in HAC-I action.
Joey Bhangdia scored two goals while Max Reed, Bronson Ferster, Adam Cole and Andre Permyashkin all added a goal for Lewisburg (6-0, 4-0 HAC-I).
Zach Hendricks recorded 13 saves in the goal for Selinsgrove (3-4, 2-3).

TURBOTVILLE -- Elias George was nearly unstoppable in the first half as the senior recorded four goals and had two assists in a rout of the Red Tornadoes in HAC-II action.
Alex Wehr added two goals and an assist while Masen Wagner had a goal and assist in the win.
The win moves the Defenders to 4-3 overall on the year as they host Shikellamy on Saturday.

CATAWISSA -- Tyler Keiser scored two first-half goals off assists from Nate Mitchell to lead the Tigers to the HAC-III victory.
In the second half Southern (6-2 overall) put the game away on a goal from Seth Joseph off an assist by Connor Swank.

BLOOMSBURG -- Shikellamy built up a 2-0 halftime lead before Haley Bingaman punched in a goal late in the second half to seal the game and move the Braves to .500 on the season.
Shikellamy (4-4, 2-4 HAC-I) had three different girls score as Mikayla Neff, Sidney Graybill and Bingaman all found the net.
Bingaman and Neff had an assist as well.
"We're patient and (we) controlled the game," Shikellamy coach Angela Sivillo said.
The Braves host Midd-West on Monday.

MOUNT CARMEL -- Ali Varano picked up her second hat trick of the week as the Red Tornadoes roughed up the Lancers in the HAC-II matchup.
Marissa Clemens added a goal and two assists for Mount Carmel (6-2).

COAL TOWNSHIP -- A goal by Bailey Trell and an own goal helped the Red Raiders break a 1-all halftime tie and take the Schuylkill League win. Trell finished with two goals for Lourdes.
n Lewisburg 4,
LEWISBURG -- Maddie Scarr and Cassie Sumfest scored two goals apiece, and they all came unanswered in the second half to give the Green Dragons the HAC-I win.
Claire Lesher and Eliza Newlin assisted on Scarr's goals for Lewisburg (5-2-1, 3-2 HAC-I).
Tricia Martin scored for Midd-West (1-6. 1-3), 5:15 into the game.

TURBOTVILLE -- Sarah Vermilya recorded a hat trick to lead the Defenders to a convincing HAC-II win over the Indians. Amelia Kramer added a goal and an assist in the win for Warrior Run.

SUNBURY -- Bailey Halloran scored twice and Caroline Stepanik had a goal and two assists in dominating HAC-I win that got the Braves back to .500 on the year.
Erika Cimino, Jade Hollenbach and Jade Coxe also scored for Shikellamy (4-4, 3-3 HAC-I).

CATAWISSA -- The Cougars broke a 1-all tie with under 10 minutes remaining to take the nonleague win. Mackenna Lupold scored off a Taylor Hoffman assist to tie the game for Southern (2-4) 8:31 into the second half.

MILLERSTOWN -- The Wildcats won the Tri-Valley League matchup in overtime behind a goal from Hattie Kuhns that came off an assist by Mallory Fortenbaugh. Greenwood improves to 5-2, 2-1 in league play.

MUNCY -- The Green Dragons got back into the win column behind a three-set win from Claire Chau at No. 3 singles, plus dominating wins in both doubles matches.
