H.S. girls soccer: Bracket change affects Southen Columbia, Line Mountain

Southern Columbia's girls soccer team, the No. 1 seed in the District 4 Class A tournament, received a first-round bye when Wellsboro opted out of the field.

The Tigers were originally scheduled to play No. 16 Line Mountain on Wednesday.

With No. 14 Wellsboro out, the two lowest-seeded teams each moved up a position and Southern received a bye into the quarterfinals.

Line Mountain assumed the No. 15 seed and plays No. 2 Meadowbrook Christian at 3 p.m. today at Balls Mills.

Also, new No. 14 seed Mansfield plays No. 3 Millville at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Balls Mills.
