Shots from the Hip: Camper milestone

And so here we are -- day 1,245,634 of our epic camper remodeling project.

OK, so it isn't even close to that -- it just feels that way. How in the world do television designers totally demolish and rebuild an entire home in a week, but it takes me a billion years to do some simple remodeling of an older camper we purchased a few months ago?

I'm making progress. The bathroom is painted, new paneling is up and old rotted wood replaced. Flooring is basically done, too, and a shelving unit is created, painted and installed. However, I'm now about to tackle a vanity that is looking more and more intimidating by the minute.

What's the saying? One step forward, two steps back?

The goal was to have the camper done for Memorial Day. The maiden voyage had to be postponed to mid-June, then the Fourth of July. At the rate things are going, I may just forget about Labor Day and shoot for Thanksgiving!

At least it will be cooler out then!\
