Shikellamy falls despite junior's career-best night

MONTOURSVILLE -- A double-double from Sam Allen propelled the Green Dragons to the title.

Allen scored 19 points and had 10 rebounds and he was named to the All-Tournament team along with Travis Conrad.

Jesse Flannery dished out 10 assists and Erich Kline added 11 points, the latter also being named the tourney's MVP.

KoC Tournament

n Lourdes Regional 59,

Line Mountain 26

COAL TOWNSHIP -- Zack Oquendo had 16 points and Matt Savitski scored 15 to lead the Red Raiders to the opening-round win.

Lourdes (6-1) next plays the Shamokin-Minersville winner today at 8:30 p.m. for the championship.

Juniata County Tourney

n East Juniata 57,

Midd-West 52

COCOLAMUS -- Three players scored in double figures for the Tigers as they claimed their tournament with a close victory over the Mustangs (2-4).

Dillon Leonard scored 15 points and Nick Lorenz had 12 to lead East Juniata (8-1). Leonard was named to the All-Tournament team while Lorenz was the tourney's MVP.

Perry Co. Tournament

n Greenwood 46,

West Perry 28

ELLIOTTSBURG -- Thirteen points from Ryan Kerstetter and 10 from Josh Ferguson lifted the Wildcats to an opening-round win. Greenwood (6-2) plays Susquenita in the championship game at 7:30 tonight.

BLOOMSBURG -- Tyler Baughman's four 3-pointers and 16 points weren't enough as the Lions fell in an opening-round game. Meadowbrook (3-4) next plays the loser between Columbia Montour Vo-Tech and Weatherly today at 6 p.m.

Southern Tournament

n North Schuylkill 50,

Milton 44

CATAWISSA -- Ethan Baker and Michael Jacobs scored 12 points apiece in the loss for Milton, which faces Northwest at 6 today.

n Southern Columbia 54,

Northwest 45

CATAWISSA -- Bryce Parry's 15 points helped give the Tigers the opening-round win. Southern will play North Schuylkill in the final at 7:30.

n So. Williamsport 80,

Warrior Run 63

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT -- The Mounties pulled away for the regular-season win by out-scoring the Defenders by 13 points in the final quarter. Collin Foresman scored 15 points for Warrior Run (1-5).
