MIFFLINBURG -- Shikellamy has been eyeing-up a District 4 playoff spot, and the Braves got a big boost in that effort by defeating Mifflinburg 69-38 in a Heartland-I matchup on Wednesday.
Austin Mowery and C.J. Tyler scored 15 and 14 points, respectively, for Shikellamy (8-6, 6-2 HAC-I), while Ernie Tyler added 12 points in the win.
The trio also combined for eight 3-point goals, five of them coming in the first half as Shikellamy 25-9 after the first quarter.
"Shikellamy shot the lights out and played very physically. They moved the ball well on offense and they found the open man," said Mifflinburg coach Andre' Roupp. "They knocked down shots that they created for themselves. They were 5-of-6 on 3-pointers at the half -- that was tough to come back from against a good team like Shikellamy."
Braden Lee and Jeremy Uscowskas both scored eight points for Mifflinburg (6-7, 2-5).
Lewisburg 65, Hughesville 51
HUGHESVILLE -- Travis Conrad and the rest of the Green Dragons were dishing it out the assists against the Spartans en route to taking the HAC-II victory.
Conrad scored nine points and handed out seven assists, and Lewisburg (13-1, 7-1 HAC-II) as a team had 20 assists on the 25 field goals that were scored.
"I thought the boys played very well and we made nice passes to open guys," said Lewisburg coach John Vaji.
Mike Driscoll and Erich Kline both scored 17 points to lead the Green Dragons.
Tristan Jefferies had 24 points to lead Hughesville (8-7, 5-3).
Danville 80, Midd-West 46
MIDDLEBURG -- The Ironmen had five players who scored in double figures as they cruised past the Mustangs for the HAC-I victory.
Bret Berg led Danville (11-2, 8-0 HAC-I) with 22 points, while Scotty Heeter added 19 and Zach Kozick had 13 for the Ironmen.
Colton Keister and Kahill Brooker scored 14 and 13 points, respectively, for Midd-West.
