HUGHESVILLE -- Fred Newhart scored 14 points and the Spartans made their shots in the final period to out-last the Tigers for the HAC-II win. Matt Klock led Southern with 13 points.
n Milton 53,
Mifflinburg 41 (OT)
MIFFLINBURG -- The Wildcats hung tough with the Black Panthers until the overtime period, when they ran out of gas and lost a crucial HAC-I matchup.
In overtime Ethan Baker hit a 3-pointer to get Milton rolling, and the Black Panthers went 7-of-10 from the foul line to not only win the game but also qualify for the District 4 playoffs.
Baker finished with just five points, while Chad Diggan led Milton (11-6 overall) with 18 points.
Jeremy Uscowskas paced Mifflinburg (7-8) with 17 points.
n Central Columbia 65,
Warrior Run 47
ALMEDIA -- Dylan Hine scored a game-high 21 points as the Blue Jays took the HAC-II victory.
Jared Bender led Warrior Run (1-15, 0-11 HAC-II) with 14 points.
n Shikellamy 45,
Central Mountain 31
MILL HALL -- After going into the locker room at the half trailing Central Mountain, Shikellamy responded with a huge second half, outscoring the Wildcats in the third and fourth quarters alone en route to the nonleague win.
The victory for the Braves qualified them for the District 4 playoffs with an 11-6 record.
Alexis Angstadt scored a team-high 15 points one night after she recorded her 1,000th career point. Raven Fatool added eight points and a team-high 10 rebounds in the win.
Central Mountain was led by just three scorers and never scored more than nine in a single quarter.
n Midd-West 60,
FARWELL -- The scoring combination of Allie Camp and Brianna Beiler propelled the Mustangs to the nonleague win. Camp led Midd-West (7-9) with 19 points and Beiler added 16.
n Williamsport 58,
MILTON -- After a good opening quarter, things went downhill for the Black Panthers as they fell to the Millionaires in a lop-sided HAC-I matchup.
