Selinsgrove and Lewisburg fought it out for both the Heartland-I and District 4 titles this year, so it was no surprise that the Seals and Green Dragons put the most players on the HAC's 2013 All-Star team as selected by the league's head coaches.
This season Selinsgrove claimed its fifth HAC-I title in six years with a 12-0 record (17-1 overall).
Named to the first team for the Seals were forwards Emily Klingler and Brooke Zeiders, midfielders Nora Aucker and Becca Bausinger, plus defender Megan Wetzel.
Klingler was one of the HAC's leading scorers this year with 18 goals.
Lewisburg, which finished second in the division, also had five players named to the first team. They were forwards Maddie Scarr and Cassie Sumfest, midfielders Maggie Harrison and Claire Lesher, plus defender Eliza Newlin.
Rounding out the Division I first team were Shikellamy defender Jade Coxe and Danville goalkeeper Kylie Edwards.
Selinsgrove's Cathy Keiser was also named the Coach of the Year. Following their conference title, the Seals claimed their ninth straight District 4 Class AA championship this season.
In Division II, Southern Columbia and Warrior Run each placed three of its players on the first team.
The Defenders named to the first team were forward Sarah Vermilya, defender Amelia Kramer and goalkeeper Mackenzie Trometter. For the Tigers, forward Miranda Long, midfielder McKenna Lupold and defender Taylor Hoffman were named to the first team.
The remaining members of the HAC-II first team included forward Hannah Oberrender, midfielder Tali Wehner and defender Kristina Kurelja from division champ Bloomsburg; forward Lindsey Carl, midfielder Rachel Davis and defender Karissa Flick from Central Columbia; plus Muncy midfielder Crystal Good.
The Division II's Coach of the Year honors were shared by Bloomsburg's Chuck Baker and Benton/Millville's Ron Salsman.
