COAL TWP. -- Danville's Bret Berg scored a game-high 20 points, including nine in the second half, to lead the Surrounding Counties All-Stars to a come-from-behind win, 75-67, Sunday night in the 13th annual Northumberland County Senior All-Star Game.
Berg led all scorers with 11 first-half points, but his team trailed the Northumberland All-Stars 38-35 at halftime. Lewisburg's Travis Conrad added six points on two first-quarter 3-pointers, while Danville's Matt McConnell and Scotty Heeter each made a trey and scored five.
Southern Columbia's Matt Klock paced Northumberland with 14 points.
In the girls game, Minersville's Sara Walasavage Pine Grove's Shannon Zimmerman each scored 15 points to pace the Surrounding Counties in a 63-62 win. Northumberland got 14 points from Southern Columbia's Mallory Tomaschik, 10 from Shikellamy's Cory Yerger and eight from both Lourdes' Nikki Komara and Shamokin's Kelsey Yacko.
