H.S. roundup: Ty Ross's hat trick helps Midd-West boys top Shikellamy


Lewisburg (7-2-1, 5-2 HAC-I). led 2-0 at halftime on goals by Cassie Sumfest and Scarr. Sumfest opened the second-half scoring with a penalty stroke, and Scarr followed with four goals.

TURBOTVILLE -- Brittany Hunt scored 3:40 into the game, and as it turned out it was the only goal the Defenders needed for the HAC-II win.

Brittany Hunt and Sarah Vermilya scored in the first half for Warrior Run, with Kylee Nicholas adding a goal off a Vermilya assist in the second half.

DANVILLE -- The Ironmen (6-4, 2-4 HAC-I) dominated with 18 shots and 10 corners.

Milton dropped to 0-9.

BLOOMSBURG -- Kayla Rostucher scored the game's lone goal at the 26:47 mark of the first half.


n Warrior Run 2,

TURBOTVILLE -- Tori Ross scored her first goal late in the first half, and her second early in the second half to lead the Defenders to the HAC-II win.

Maddie Beyer and Erika Landis assisted on Ross' goals for Warrior Run (7-3, 6-2 HAC-II).

In addition to Ross, the defensive side of the ball was dominated by Chloe Eisenhuth.

"Chloe played an awesome game at midfield. She was all over the field," said Warrior Run coach Jen Allen, whose team next plays Bellefonte under the lights at Williamsport's Balls Mills Complex on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Mifflinburg 1

CATAWISSA -- A pair of late first-half goals by Mackenzie Clark propelled the Tigers to the HAC-II victory.

Both of Clark's goals came in the final 3:17 of the first half to give Southern a 3-0 halftime lead. Teanna Shutt and Bailey Bzdak also scored for the Tigers (10-0-1, 7-0-1 HAC-II).

Meadowbrook 3 (OT)

NORTHUMBERLAND -- Bethany Severn recorded a hat trick for the Warriors, but the Lions stuck right with them en route to an overtime tie in ACAA action.

Emily Benfer recorded two goals for Meadowbrook Christian (9-0-1, 7-0-1 ACAA).


n Montoursville 3,

Lewisburg 2

MONTOURSVILLE -- The Green Dragons' Libby King and Sydney Hartzell took a tough, three-set win at No. 1 doubles, but Lewisburg fell in three sets at both No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles to lose to the Warriors in an HAC-I match. Also winning for Lewisburg (3-14) was Erin Devine at second singles.
