Juniata, combined with East Juniata, ruled the regular season this year and the Indians received the most honors as the Tri-Valley League's head coaches selected their 2012-13 All-Star Team.
A total of six wrestlers from TVL champion Juniata were named to the first team, including senior 145-pounder Sean Heggs, a state qualifier who wrestled for East Juniata a year ago before the two schools joined forces this season.
Joining Heggs on the team for the Indians were seniors Luke Nanna (138) and Patrick Fitzgerald (220), and juniors Jared Bender (152) and Derek Beitz (160).
Line Mountain placed four of its wrestlers onto the first team, including state qualifiers Seth Lansberry, a senior 138-pounder, plus sophomore 106-pounder Cameron Newman.
Lansberry was named the TVL's Most Valuable Wrestler after he went 29-2 during the regular season. He later fell in the PIAA championship bout to former teammate Zain Retherford of Benton, 5-0.
The other two Eagles to make the first team were senior 152-pounder Britton Heim and senior 182-pounder Erik Smeltz.
Upper Dauphin junior 182-pounder Trey Campbell also made the first team, and rounding out the selections were Halifax seniors Robbie Moretz and Allan Kauffman, plus Newport senior Daniel Altemus and junior Ben Clay and freshman Patrick O'Toole for the Buffaloes.
The TVL's Coach of the Year honors went to Juniata's Mike Robinson. In 2012-13 Robinson guided the Indians to a 19-5 overall record, including a 4-0 mark in league action.
