Selinsgrove uses fourth quarter rally to down HAC-I rival Midd-West

MIDDLEBURG -- Trailing by two going into the fourth quarter, Selinsgrove would put 20 points on the board in the final period to edge cross-county rival Midd-West, 59-53, in a Heartland-I matchup Wednesday.

Dillon Hoke tallied 19 points and Isaiah Rapp added 12 for Selinsgrove (7-12, 5-6 HAC-I).

Colton Keister's 17 points led Midd-West (3-16, 0-14), while Ascher Marks added 12.

Jersey Shore 60

JERSEY SHORE -- Two days after not recording a single foul shot, the Ironmen attempted 42 free throws, sinking 26 of them en route to a HAC-I win against the Bulldogs.

Danville (16-2, 11-0 HAC-I) were led by a career-high 28 points from Bret Berg while Zach Kozick added 14 and Scotty Heeter had 10.

Jersey Shore (9-10, 6-5)and Danville tied after both the first and second quarters and Danville didn't pull away until a 32-point fourth quarter.

Jersey Shore must win two of their final three games in order to qualify for the District 4 Class AAA playoffs.

n Lewisburg 65,

Warrior Run 37

TURBOTVILLE -- Twenty-three points from Erich Kline and two other players in double figures gave the Green Dragons the HAC-II win.

Travis Conrad and Sam Allen scored 12 and 11 points, respectively, for Lewisburg (19-1 overall).

Collin Foresman tallied 16 points for Warrior Run (2-15, 0-12 HAC-II).

n East Juniata 70,

Lancaster Co. Day 32

COCOLAMUS -- Nick Lorenz matched Lancaster Country Day point for point as he led East Juniata to the Tri-Valley League victory.

Lorenz was the only player in double figures for East Juniata (16-4, 11-3 TVL), but a total of 11 players scored at least two points in the game for the Tigers.

COAL TOWNSHIP -- The Red Raiders jumped out to a 27-point halftime lead to get the better of their cross-town rivals in the nonleague matchup.

Rachel Schultz had 16 points, four steals and three assists, Sarah Getchey had 14 points and eight rebounds and Nikki Komara had six points, nine assists, six steals and seven rebounds for Lourdes (16-5).

Olivia Bonshock scored 12 points for Shamokin (11-9).
