MIFFLINBURG — Shamokin was held to just 11 points in the first half as Mifflinburg won its tip-off tournament with a 51-42 victory over the Indians on Saturday.
“We had an overall very physical team effort on the defensive end,” said Mifflinburg coach Andre’ Roupp. “We really executed well on the defensive end, and we executed well enough on the offensive end.”
Jordan Wagner led Mifflinburg (2-0) with 11 points and he was named to the all-tourney team along with Braden Lee, who added nine points for the Wildcats.
Dan Delbaugh scored 15 points for Shamokin (1-1). Kevin Carsto and Austin Stine were named to the all-tourney team for the Indians.

COCOLAMUS — A game-high 23 points from Nick Lorenz powered the Tigers to the victory in their tourney’s championship game.
Lorenz was named the tourney MVP for East Juniata (2-0), while Bailey Coder earned a spot on the all-tourney team for the Tigers. Coder tallied 13 points against the Eagles.
Line Mountain (1-1) was led by Cole Rickert’s 15 points. Rickert was also named to the all-tourney team.

COAL TOWNSHIP — Zack Oquendo’s double-double helped lift the Red Raiders to a win in their tournament championship game.
Oquendo had 14 points and 13 rebounds for Lourdes (2-0), while Anthony Pennypacker and Matt Savitski led with 17 and 16 points, respectively.

COAL TOWNSHIP — The Bulldogs outscored the Lions 20-15 in the second half to pull out the consolation victory. Tyler Baughman had nine points, while Curtis Klodnicki had six points and 11 rebounds for Meadowbrook (0-2).
