HS Roundup: Mifflinburg wins its own tournament



n Cumberland Valley Kickoff Classic

MECHANICSBURG — Defending PIAA champion Ryan Solomon placed first at 195 pounds to lead Milton in the tournament.

In the finals, Solomon pinned Cumberland Valley’s Matthew Hare in 55 seconds. Also for the Black Panthers, Taylor Porter and Ryan Preisch placed second at 145 and 160 pounds, respectively, and Brandon Stoke took seventh at 170.

NEWPORT — Three wrestlers went undefeated on the day for Midd-West — Corey Stauffer, Tanner Ebright, Dylan Hain — to lead the Mustangs.

Hain pinned all three of his opponents, while Stauffer had two pins and Ebright had a win and a major decision on the day for the Mustangs.
