Danville and Selinsgrove, the top two teams in District 4 this year, had a total of nine players selected to the Central Susquehanna Girls Lacrosse League All-Star Team, as selected by the CSGLL’s head coaches.
Danville, which claimed the District 4 title with a 19-9 victory over Selinsgrove, put five players on the team including Player of the Year Emily Vella, a junior attack. Vella scored 10 goals and had two assists in the district tournament for the Ironmen.
Joining Vella on the team for Danville were senior attack Liz Pavis, sophomore midfielders Martina Plafcan and Sara Klena, plus senior defender Sarah Weber.
Selinsgrove’s first-team honorees were senior midfielder Geneka Mahan, junior midfielder Jenna Clark, sophomore defender Grace O’Malley and junior goalkeeper Brooke McEvoy.
Rounding out the first-team selections were Midd-West senior attack Julie Hurst and sophomore midfielder Brianna Beiler; Mifflinburg junior attack Gillian Allen; plus Lewisburg senior midfielder Hannah Gotoff and senior defender Lenore Doyle.
