NEW OXFORD — Southern Columbia and Line Mountain had a total of five placewinners as the Tigers and Eagles finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 28-team tournament.
Leading the way for Southern was Blake Marks, who captured the 152-pound title with a 15-0 technical fall in 4:57 over Susquehanna Township’s Aurthur Watkins.
Also for the Tigers, Shane Casey was second at 106 and Todd Lane was third at 120 after he took an 11-3 major decision in his consolation final over Hanover’s Jacob Garland.
For Line Mountain, Collin Klinger took third at 106 with a 1-0 decision over Milton Hershey’s David Wells, while Cameron Newman was third at 113 following an 8-5 decision over New Oxford’s Zurich Storm.
Shikellamy and Selinsgrove split
SELINSGROVE — The Braves won 4-0 on the boys side of the HAC matchup, but the Seals grabbed a 4-0 win in girls action.
Earl Malick and Noah Thomas both had a 600 series to lead the Shikellamy boys (19-1). Malick had the high game on the day with a 265.
In girls, Alana Eisenhart rolled a 606 series behind games of 214 and 244 to lead Selinsgrove (16-8).
Midd-West all but sweeps Danville
DANVILLE — The Mustangs all but swept the Ironmen in HAC action after winning the boys match, 4-0; and taking the girls match, 3-1.
Chris Houtz rolled a 662 series (231-219-212) and Luke Zimmerman had a 619 (202-233-184) to lead Midd-West.
On the girls side, Jenna Yarger out-bowled Danville’s Indeah Lewis, 717-704, to lead the Mustangs.
