LEWISBURG -- Norman Whaley won the long and triple jumps as well as the 110-meter hurdles Thursday afternoon to help Milton stay unbeaten on the season with a 78-72 nailbiter over host Lewisburg in a Heartland Athletic Conference crossover meet, and a 118-32 win over Mifflinburg in HAC-II action.
Lewisburg also beat Mifflinburg 108-42 in a crossover meet and is now 1-1 overall, 1-0 HAC-I. Milton is 3-0 overall, 2-0 HAC-II.
Chris Reuss won a pair of races for the Black Panthers, taking the 100- and 200-meter dashes. Sean Walker was a triple winner for the Green Dragons taking the 1,600, 3,200 and 800 while teammate Will Sumfest doubled, with wins in the pole vault and shot put.

TURBOTVILLE -- Elias George was a triple winner for the Defenders, who took the HAC-II meet to move to 2-0.
George won the 100, 200 and 400. Jake Rohm won a pair of events for the winners, the javelin and triple jump.
LEWISBURG -- The Green Dragons took a pair of HAC crossover wins, 78 1/2-71 1/2 over Milton and 111-39 over Mifflinburg.
Milton's Vicki Soltys helped the Black Panthers stay close as she won the 100, the long jump and the pole vault.
Also in the tri-meet, Milton rolled past Mifflinburg 94-56.

TURBOTVILLE -- McKenzie Mathna won the long and triple jumps and Steph Shamburg took the javelin and the discus as the Defenders won the HAC-II meet.
n YMCA Nationals
GREENSBORO, NC -- Mifflinburg junior Adriana Grabski swam to a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle event on the second day of the YMCA Nationals. In the finals, she bested her state record with a time of 1:46.93 (state record is 1:47.05). Other local swimmers at the event included Central Columbia senior Katie Saloky, who swam a personal best 56.66 seconds in the 100 butterfly; Lewisburg senior Emily Maxwell, who had a preliminary time of 1:54.98 in the 200 freestyle; Central Columbia junior Beth Grazio who had a preliminary time of 57.34 in the 100 butterfly and Central Columbia sophomore Hunter Krum, who has a preliminary time of 4:15.84 in the 400 IM.
