Title wave: Mifflinburg's Grabski wins YMCA national title

By The Daily Item GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Adriana Grabski continued her impressive swimming career by capturing a national swimming title on Saturday afternoon at the 2013 YMCA National Short Course Championships.

Mifflinburg junior Grabski, representing the Sunbury YMCA, took first in the 100 freestyle in a time of 49.75 seconds.

Grabski also helped the Sunbury girls 400 yard freestyle relay team -- made up of Central Columbia senior Katie Saloky, Lewisburg senior Emily Maxwell and Lewisburg sophomore Caitlin Foley -- qualify for the A Finals by finishing in fifth place with a time of 3:24.66.

In the 50 freestyle, Saloky finished in 11th while Grabski took fifth.

The foursome also took third in the 200 freestyle medley relay with a time of 1:42.63.

Maxwell also recorded a personal best in the 100 freestyle with a time of 52.10 in the prelims. Saloky finished the 200 IM with a personal best of 2:08.71.

Sunbury YMCA swimmer Beth Grazio swam in the 200 butterfly, finishing in 2:13.42.
