MANDATA -- Danville came out the gates firing and didn't let up as the Ironmen rolled to a 15-2, five-inning nonleague win over Line Mountain on Saturday.
Alyssa Shaw gave Danville (1-3) a 10-2 lead in the third with a grand slam. She would finish the game with five RBIs.
The Ironmen later got a two-run homer from Leslie Fritz in the fifth to help end the game early.
Zina Knight added a 3-for-3 day for Danville. It included four runs scored and four stolen bases.
Line Mountain's two runs came on a two-run double from Savannah Copson in the first inning.

TURBOTVILLE -- Battery mates Tay Parker and Lynn Vermilya both hit home runs for the Defenders' in their nonleague win.
Parker, along with getting the complete-game win inside the circle, came within a single of also hitting for the cycle for Warrior Run (5-0 overall). Vermilya finished with two hits, including a single that Parker could've used.

SUNBURY -- The Lancers added to the Braves' early-season struggles by pounding out 21 hits to take the nonleague win.
Kayla Gee led Loyalsock (4-1) going 5-for-5 with a double, a home run and four RBIs.
Carly Koppen went 2-for-2 and doubled to lead Shikellamy (0-5).

COAL TOWNSHIP -- The Spartans scored five runs in the third inning to take a commanding lead, but the Indians responded with five runs in the sixth to comeback and take the nonleague win.
Paul Gurba and Nate Malett both went 3-for-4 to lead Shamokin at the plate. Gurba also got the win on the mound for the Indians. He entered in relief in the fourth with his team down 7-3.

ELLIOTTSBURG -- The Wildcats found the going tough at the annual tournament as they fell ended up falling in the consolation game to the Buffaloes. Greenwood (0-5 overall) mustered just nine hits in the two games.

MILLERSBURG -- An eight-run fifth inning was more than enough to give the Tigers the Tri-Valley League win. The Indians fall to 1-4 overall.
n Lewisburg 15,
LEWISBURG -- Eight players scored goals as the Green Dragons connected on 30 percent of their 50-plus shots to cruise to the victory.
Drew Strosser and Matt Fedorjaka both had three goals and an assist in the win for Lewisburg (2-1), which had a total of nine players record at least one point in the game.

DANVILLE -- Martina Plafcan combined for eight goals and four assists as the Ironmen opened their season with a pair of dominating wins.
Against Lake Lehman, Danville (2-0) got three goals from Plafcan and five from Emily Vella. Plafcan later led the Ironmen with five goals against Bellefonte.

PALMYRA -- Jamie Ptacek scored three goals and Sarah Talabiska scored twice to lead the Green Dragons to the nonleague victory. A total of eight players scored at least one goal for Lewisburg (2-1).
