How they got here: District 4 runner-up Danville, the second seed, beat No. 3 Shikellamy in the semifinals 47-35; and lost to No. 1 Athens in the final 38-36.

District 2 champion Honesdale, the sixth seed, beat No. 11 North Pocono in the first round 65-23; beat No. 3 Dallas in the quarterfinals 74-68; beat No. 2 Holy Redeemer in the semifinals 39-30; and beat No. 1 Scranton Prep in the final 47-43.

Probable starters: Danville - #12 Donie Ann Keeley (Sr., G, 5-6, 6.4 ppg.); #25 Ericka Heath (Jr., F, 5-10, 8.4 ppg.); #30 Siobhan Bross (Sr., G, 5-7, 8.0 ppg.); #33 Kylie Romeo (Sr., G, 5-7, 5.0 ppg.); #35 Amber Renz (Fr., P, 6-0, 16.6 ppg.).

Honesdale - #2 Mary Martin (Sr., G, 5-5, 12.6 ppg.); #11 Morgan Birmelin (So., G, 5-4, 8.3 ppg.); #12 Katie Miller (So., G, 5-5, 13.9); #13 Kacie Johannes (Sr., F, 5-8, 7.6 ppg.); #21 Natasha Hessling (So., F, 5-7, 7.6 ppg.).

Notable: It's Danville's third consecutive state appearance as the District 4 Class AAA runner-up; the D4-AAA runner-up hasn't won a state game since 2002. … The Ironmen lost the last three district finals by a total of six points (36-35 to Milton in 2010-11; 34-31 to Shamokin in 2011-12; and 38-36 to Athens on Saturday). ...
