By The Daily Item

The Milton High School boys and girls bowling teams stole the show this past season, and the Black Panthers were duly awarded as the Heartland Athletic Conference's coaches selected their 2012-13 All-Star Teams.

Milton won both the HAC's boys and girls titles this year with records of 22-6 and 25-3, respectively.

The boys first team was led by Milton junior Mark Artley. He led the conference with a 221.95 average. Joining Artley on the first team was classmate Bryan Brennan, who had a 210.33 average.

Rounding out the first team were Shikellamy senior Zack Williams (213.90) and sophomore Randy Ripple (214.66), plus Danville senior Nate Lubeski (210.00).

On the girls side, Lewisburg freshman Alexis Neuer has shown in a short amount of time that she is a force to be reckoned with as she led the conference with a 208.00 average.

The Black Panthers also placed two of their bowlers on the girls first team as senior Megan Sherman (196.38) and junior Halie Snyder (199.19) both received honors.

Rounding out the team was Danville sophomore Indeah Lewis (189.52) and Midd-West junior Jenna Yarger (203.80), who claimed the Eastern PA High School Regional championship for the Mustangs.

The HAC's Coach of the Year honors for both boys and girls went to Milton's Andy Neuer, who after turning his boys team into a powerhouse now has the Black Panthers' girls team in the same position.
