According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Henry Hynoski has signed a 1-year, $1 million deal to return to the New York Giants.
Hynoski, a former state prep Player of the Year from Southern Columbia, was not tendered an offer as a restricted free agent. That allowed Hynoski to visit other teams and sign any other squad. Allowing Hynoski to pursue other options before signing saved the Giants more than $400,000, according to reports.
Reports were that Hynoski was visiting with the Detroit Lions today when he agreed to the deal to return to New York. Hynoski has played three seasons with the Giants, who signed as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He helped lead New York to the Super Bowl title that first season.
