Area motorsports notebook: Hoffner leads late models at Clinton County

STILL GOT IT: Former Bloomsburg resident Johnny Heydenreich, who turned 57 on Monday, was in victory lane in a midget with the United States Auto Club at Montpelier Motor Speedway in Montpelier, Ind., last week. Heydenreich led the final three laps of the 25-lap feature in the Honda Ignite USAC Midwest Dirt series.

SUNDAY RACING: Big Diamond Speedway will make history in September following the Coal Cracker 72 on Sunday, Sept. 1, as the track has added four more dates -- all points shows -- to its 2013 calendar. The Sunday race will start at 6:45 and will showcase a regular three-division show of 358 modifieds, sportsman modifieds and roadrunners. The final race, Sept. 29, will be the final points race of the year.
