BLOOMSBURG -- For the second straight day, Selinsgrove's 9-10 Division All-Star team couldn't get its bats going, nor could it stop South Columbia (1) from swinging away and making plenty of contact once again.
South Columbia scored six runs in both the third and fifth innings to take a 15-2, five-inning victory and claim the District 13 championship at Bloomsburg Town Park.
Dylan Harris hit a bases loaded triple in the third inning before Patrick Yost hit an inside-the-park home run for South Columbia in the sixth.
Harris, who also pitched a complete game, finished 3-for-3 with six RBIs, while Yost went 2-for-2 and drove in four runs for South Columbia.
"It was very nice for the kids to win districts. I don't know when the last time the 9-10 team had won it. It's been a while," said South Columbia manager Don Harris.
South Columbia now advances to the Section 3 Tournament. Its first game is Monday at 5:30 p.m. versus Keystone. The tournament will be played at Acorn Park in Northumberland.

NORTHUMBERLAND -- A one-out double by Nick Dunn in the sixth inning scored Colby Lahr with the go-ahead run as Sunbury/Northumberland survived its losers' bracket game in the Susquehanna Valley League playoffs at Pineknotter Park.
Following Dunn's go-ahead hit, Jack Snyder put another run on the board with an RBI single.
Snyder, in addition to adding an RBI on a fielder's choice in the first and a two-out RBI single in the fourth, was also the complete-game winning pitcher for Sunbury/Norry (11-7).
Snyder only allowed one run past the third inning, and he also had two strikeouts.
Sunbury/Norry next plays West Snyder today at 5:30 p.m. back at Pineknotter Park.
