High school roundup: Danville, Millersburg post wins on baseball diamond

Selinsgrove 4, Shikellamy 1

SELINSGROVE — The Seals made it look easy in the first two singles matches as they gave up just two games en route to the HAC-I victory over the Braves.

Safwan Khan clinched the match for Selinsgrove (5-0) with a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 win over Bobby Dalius.

The win for Shikellamy (1-2) came at No. 2 doubles as Justin Eroh and Taylor Herb won 6-4, 1-6, 6-4.

Mifflinburg 3, Danville 2

DANVILLE — The Wildcats won a pair of matches in straight sets to take the HAC-I victory. Cameron Murphy won 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 singles for Mifflinburg (1-4), while Jenn Southerton and Sam Beiler won 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles.

Lewisburg 4, Central Columbia 1

ALMEDIA — After clinching the match with a win at No. 1 doubles, the Green Dragons’ Wes Sigl and Tim Weisbarth pulled out a tough 7-6 (3), 7-5 win at No. 2 doubles to put the icing on the cake in the HAC-II victory.

Warrior Run 105, Montgomery 45


TURBOTVILLE — Spencer Williamson, Elias George and Kyle Jeremiah were all triple-event winners in the HAC-II win for the Defenders (1-0).

GIRLS TRACK

Warrior Run 93.5, Montgomery 56.5


TURBOTVILLE — Sarah Grow won all three distance races, Kenzie Mathna swept the jumping events, plus Steph Shamburg and Olivia George won two events apiece in the HAC-II win for the Defenders (1-0).

GIRLS LACROSSE

Lewisburg 13, Bellefonte 5


LEWISBURG — Hannah Gotoff’s three-goal day helped propel the Green Dragons to the CSGLL victory. Maggie Connolly and Lisa Steinhubl both added two goals in the win.
