ALMEDIA -- Warrior Run committed only two errors against Central Columbia in Tuesday's Heartland-II matchup, but they came at the least opportune time.
Both of the Defenders' miscues came in the bottom of the seventh inning to allow the Blue Jays to score two runs for a 3-2 victory.
Central (9-1, 8-1 HAC-II), which also out-hit Warrior Run, 8-4, scored its first run on a wild pitch in the fourth.
Jackie Clemens and Cara Rishel each had a pair of hits to lead the Defenders (9-2, 7-2).

MIDDLEBURG -- The Bulldogs jumped on the Mustangs early and often, running away for the HAC-I win. Midd-West falls to 1-10, 1-8 in league play.

SUNBURY -- Alli Lloyd got the day off, but the Wildcats didn't skip a beat as Sara Stauffer stepped inside the circle and one-hit the Braves.
Stauffer also went 3-for-3 at the plate, doubled twice and drove in a run for Mifflinburg (10-2, 8-1 HAC). Margaret Wiand went 3-for-3 and Mackenzie Kyler went 2-for-2 and drove in two for the Wildcats.

COAL TOWNSHIP -- The Seals got a solo home run from Jess Kerstetter in the fourth inning, but the Indians managed to take the close HAC-I win after they scored three runs in the first inning. Shamokin improves to 5-6 overall.

MIFFLINBURG -- The Wildcats came back from a three-run deficit by scoring four runs in the sixth to take the HAC-I victory.
Colton Snook had a two-run single in the sixth while Aaron Sharp added an RBI single for Midd-West (5-5, 2-5 HAC-I).
The Mustangs later got an insurance run in the seventh on Ryan Coombs' two-out, pinch-hit RBI single that plated Sharp.
Zach Aurand led Mifflinburg with a 3-for-4 day that included an RBI.

SUNBURY -- The Braves made the match close, but the Wildcats' straight-set win at No. 1 doubles sealed the HAC-I win for Mifflinburg.
Bobby Dalius won at No. 3 singles for Shikellamy (1-10), as did the Braves' No. 2 doubles team. Mifflinburg improves to 4-9.

MONTOURSVILLE -- Reece Metzger and Eddie Babakov claimed a 4-6, 6-2 (10-4) victory at No. 1 doubles to help the Black Panthers shutout the Warriors in the HAC-I match.
Milton improves to 8-6, 7-4 in the conference, and the Black Panthers have a test today when they travel to Bloomsburg to take on the one-loss Panthers.

LEWISBURG -- Mike Ede claimed both hurdles races, Travis Lockcuff won the 100 meters and long jump, plus freshman Juvon Batts won the 200 as the Seals won the HAC-I meet.

MONTOURSVILLE -- Three wins from both Luke Rarig (110HH, 300IH, 400R) and Cody Olson (LJ, TJ, HJ) led the Tigers to the HAC-II win.

LEWISBURG -- Alexis Auman was a three-event winner, while Courtney McCartney and Marissa Heddings won two individual events apiece to lead the Seals to the HAC-I victory. Auman won the 200 (28.34), long jump (15-11) and triple jump (33-5 1/4).

MONTOURSVILLE -- Not even three wins from Teanna Shutt (1,600, 3,200, pole vault) helped the Tigers against the Warriors in the HAC-II meet.
n Lewisburg 14,
SELINSGROVE -- Jess Penn and Sarah Talabiska combined for seven goals as five girls scored at least two goals in the Green Dragons' Central Susquehanna Lacrosse League victory.
Penn led Lewisburg (6-3, 5-0 CSLL) with four goals.
n Mifflinburg 13,
Midd-West 12 (OT)
MIDDLEBURG -- Dani Ard was fouled and scored the game-winning goal on a free position shot just one minute into OT to give the Wildcats the CSLL win.
Nackea Bachman scored the game's tying goal for Midd-West (5-4) with 55 seconds left in regulation. Bachman finished with four goals and an assist.
Ard scored twice for Mifflinburg (3-4), as did Kiersten Dauberman, Jordan Caprioli, Lexi Erb, Megan Mensch and Tabb Koch.

MIFFLINBURG -- Austin Stroup scored eight goals and Zach Adams added five more to lead the Seals to the CSLL rout.
