SUNBURY -- Three straight-set wins in singles propelled Selinsgrove to a 5-0 season-opening victory over Shikellamy in a Heartland Athletic Conference Division I matchup Monday.

Sara Moyer led the way with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Tracy Knorr at No. 1 singles for Selinsgrove (1-0).

In all three singles matches combined, the Seals only lost six games, with their other two wins coming from Liza Smith at No. 2 and Brittney Auker at No. 3.

In doubles however, Selinsgrove needed two three-set wins to preserve its shutout.

Laura Long and Savannah Foor pulled out a 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 win over Christa Beveridge and Tori Brubaker; and at No. 2 Alexis Auman and Morgan Catherman beat Johnna Strause and Adrianna Simon, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-6.

WILLIAMSPORT -- The Millionaires were their usual staunch selves, as they shut out the Black Panthers for the HAC win.

Williamsport (1-0) picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win by Maggie Manchester at No. 1 singles, plus a pair of identical 6-0, 6-1 wins in the other two singles matches.

In doubles, Milton (0-1) fell 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1; and 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2.
