MIDDLEBURG -- Midd-West is one win away from qualifying for the District 4 playoffs after the Mustangs routed Greenwood, 10-0, in a five-inning nonleague contest Monday.
Midd-West (9-8) took control of the game by scoring four runs in the third inning and five in the fourth. Alex Lash and Luke Zimmerman both hit two-run singles to fuel the Mustangs offense.
Midd-West play at Milton today, and the Mustangs host Shikellamy on Friday in their season finale.

HUGHESVILLE -- The Spartans answered every rally by the Braves to take the nonleague win.
Colby Lahr, Nick Dunn and Blake Bettleyon each had 2-for-4 days at the plate for Shikellamy.

Upper Dauphin 6
ELIZABETHVILLE -- The Wildcats erased an early four-run deficit to get a leg up in the race for the Tri-Valley League championship.
Upper Dauphin scored two first-inning runs on consecutive two-out doubles by Payton Kennerly and Nate Deitrick. Ian Bufflington put the Trojans up 5-1 with a two-run single in the second.
Halifax (13-4, 12-2 TVL), which was tied with Upper Dauphin and East Juniata in the loss column, went ahead by the sixth inning and tacked on two runs in the seventh. The Trojans committed five errors and left 10 runners on base.
"We played our worst game of the year in the biggest game of the year," said Trojans coach Ryan Lentz. "All the 'do not do's' in baseball, we did."
The Trojans (14-5, 12-3) close the regular season today at Millersburg.

DANVILLE -- The Ironmen took an early 2-1 lead after the first inning, but Blue Mountain's bats came alive late and an 8-run fifth inning and 6-run sixth inning were too much for Danville to overcome in a nonleague loss.
Blue Mountain collected 15 hits in the win.
