LEWISBURG — Lois Lesher’s 11 points, seven rebounds and six blocks helped lift the Green Dragons to the nonleague win. Maria Kelleher led Lewisburg (11-4) with 15 points.
Mifflinburg 58, Line Mountain 52
MIFFLINBURG — Kayla Kline scored 15 of her game-high 23 points in the second half to lead the Wildcats to the victory.
Sara Stauffer added 15 points, 10 rebounds and six steals for Mifflinburg.
Colleen Troutman led Line Mountain with 17 points and Sarah Lahr added 13 for the Eagles.
Athens 52, Danville 36
ATHENS — The Bulldogs pulled away for the nonleague win in the fourth quarter by outscoring the Ironmen, 21-7. Amber Renz paced Danville (12-3) with 19 points.
Shikellamy sweeps Mifflinburg
SELINSGROVE — The Braves got a 600 series from Jake Kratzer, Zack Williams and Randy Ripple to beat the Wildcats by more than 400 pins.
Kratzer’s 661 series was tops on the day, while Randy Ripple had the best game with a 256 for Shikellamy (14-2). Austin Miller led Mifflinburg (5-19) with a 676 series. For Shikellamy’s girls, Becka Klock rolled a 613 series behind a high game of 225.
Midd-West almost sweeps Central Columbia
SELINSGROVE — Midd-West’s girls, behind Jenna Yarger’s 234 high game and 631 series, beat Central 4-0. Beth Longer added a 212 game for the Mustangs. For the boys, Midd-West won 3-1. In the match Luke Zimmerman posted the second-best series this year with a 728 on games of 255-249-224.
New Oxford Tournament
NEW OXFORD — Line Mountain had three placefinishers to take 11th place in the 22-team tournament with 74.5 points. Mechanicsburg won with 132.5 points.
For the Eagles, Cameron Newman finished third at 113 pounds by winning his final bout via a forfeit; Seth Lansberry was second at 138 after losing 2-1 to Hanover’s Ian Brown in the final; and Erik was third at 170 pounds when he decisioned CD East’s Austin Trephan, 4-2.
