LAKELAND, Fla. — Racing out of the gates offensively, Bucknell won the first game of its doubleheader with Bowling Green before the Falcons turned the tables in game two to give Bucknell a split.

The Falcons (6-11) rebounded to cut the lead to 6-3 before Mike Castellani toed the rubber for the Bison and pitched 5.1 innings of scoreless relief.

Brett Smith and Carter Austin each added a pair of hits for the Bison in the win, with Smith scoring twice. Smith scored the first run of the game on a double by Ogren after leading the game with a single.

The second game was a different story for the Bison, as Bowling Green defeated Bucknell, 7-0, as two Falcons combined for a no-hitter.

The Falcons scored four runs in the second inning and a run in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings to seal the win. While the Bison did not register a hit, Bucknell was not kept off of the base paths, as Bowling Green issued three walks.
